Ingredients:

For the Salmon:

  • 2 salmon fillets (4-6 oz each)

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • dash of red pepper flakes

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons hot honey

  • Optional: 2 tablespoons of spicy chili crisp oil

For the Rice Bowl:

  • 2 cups cooked microwaveable rice (brown, white, or your preferred variety)

  • 1 cup mixed veggies (broccoli florets, bell peppers, onions, brussels sprouts or any of your favorites)

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

  • Optional for the sauce: dash of siracha

  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, sliced green onions, chopped cucumbers, or chopped cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air-fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

  2. Place the salmon fillets on aluminum foil and coat with the olive oil and then the dry seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes).

  3. Next, fully coat your salmon fillets with the hot honey, soy sauce, and chili crisp oil.

  4. Place the marinated salmon fillets in the air-fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and has a slightly crispy exterior.

  5. While the salmon cooks, prepare the rice and veggies. Follow the instructions on the microwaveable rice packet to cook the rice. In a microwave-safe dish, add the mixed veggies and a splash of water. Cover and microwave for 3-4 minutes until the veggies are tender-crisp.

  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, siracha, and honey (or maple syrup) to create a flavorful dressing.

  7. Assemble your rice bowl by dividing the cooked rice among serving bowls. Top with the steamed veggies and place the air-fried salmon fillets on top.

  8. Drizzle the dressing over the rice bowl, allowing it to coat the salmon and veggies evenly.

  9. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, sliced green onions, or chopped cilantro for added freshness and garnish.

  10. Serve your mouthwatering Spicy Air-Fryer Salmon Rice Bowl immediately and enjoy every delicious bite!

Additional Tips:

  • Feel free to customize your rice bowl by adding other toppings such as avocado slices, shredded carrots, or pickled ginger.

  • Adjust the seasoning and dressing according to your taste preferences. Add extra red pepper flakes for a spicier kick or a squeeze of fresh lime juice for extra tanginess.
